its 3rd annual "America's 50 Hottest Cities."
This ranking is based upon the perception many of America's top site
location consultants have of a particular metropolitan area," said Bill
King, chief editor of Expansion Management. In order to find out which are
today's hottest cities for business expansion, we surveyed 75 of the
industry's most prominent site location consultants in order to find out
which cities their clients find most attractive when it comes to actually
selecting an expansion or relocation site - and why these cities are more
appealing than the others. The consultants were asked to list their top
city choices for relocating and expanding manufacturing companies.

Lawton's Continuing Success, We're Number 6
In a recent report issued by the Bank One Economic Outlook Center at
Arizona State University, Lawton made the top ten list for creation of
nonagricultural job growth. The report compares the total number of new
(nonagricultural) jobs created between March 2001 and March 2002.
According to the report Lawton ranked sixth in metropolitan markets under
1,000,000 workers. The previous year Lawton ranked 192nd.
